COVID-19: What happens when I talk to my GP?

Your GP will ask you questions about your symptoms, some examples are:

  • Whether you have a cough or fever.
  • How long have you had these symptoms?
  • Are you short of breath?
  • Are you feeling excessive tiredness?
  • Do you have chest pain?

Depending on your answers, your doctor may advise you to stay at home and self-isolate, tell you to go into hospital, or refer you to the COVID-19 treatment hub in City and Hackney if you need further examination.
